Printmaster 16 is a software program that allows you to create a variety of image projects. You can use the included project templates and art images to make a design. You can also take your own photos from your digital camera, computer, CD or scanner and enhance or transform the image for a one-of-a-kind work of art. Printmaster 16 was designed to only work with computers that are running the Windows operating system. If you are having installation problems, they might be easy to fix.
Difficulty: ModerateInstructions1Check your version of Windows by clicking on "Start" and then "Run" to bring up the run dialog box. Type in "winver" and click "OK" to see the version. Printmaster 16 only works with Windows 98, 2000, Me and XP.
2Look to make sure you have enough available disk space by going to "My Computer" and right clicking on your hard drive. Select "Properties" to view the pie graph that shows available disk space. You need 300 MB of disk space for the install.
3Download the Microsoft .net 1.1 framework update from the Microsoft website (see Resources) if you are getting the install error 1601 or 1155. This update is required for the software.
4Go to the "Control Panel" from the "Start" menu and click on "User Accounts." Look under your user name to see if it says "Computer administrator" or "Limited account." You must be logged into the administrator account to do the install. Log off from the start menu and switch accounts if you're not in the administrator account already.
