How to Add GIF Animation As a Title in Kino
10/11/2010 00:00:00

Kino is a video-editing software that can import the GIF file type either as the main movie or as a title sequence. The title sequence will run at the beginning of the movie for a few seconds (or however long the GIF is) before the actual movie begins. While Kino has powerful support features for GIF, the only problem Kino has is that you cannot resize the GIF. With any graphic design tool, you will be able to re-size the GIF to the appropriate size to use in the movie.

Difficulty: Moderately EasyInstructionsThings You'll Need:Graphic design software1

Launch a graphic design software and use the "Resize" tool (or "Change Canvas Size" for some programs) to set the GIF to the correct size. Make the GIF the native size of Kino, which is 720 pixels wide by 480 pixels high, or smaller.

2

Launch Kino and click "Title Sequence." Click "FX" and then "Import." Select the GIF for the title and it will load.

3

Click "Position and Animation" and move the GIF to where you want it to appear on the title screen.

4

Press "Render" to upload the GIF and finish the title.
